The Upper Scioto Valley Music Department is a program dedicated to the education, growth, and development of students into better musicians, better citizens, and better people. We help students to recognize their potential and actualize it. We work to develop students in all areas of their music education; performing in full ensembles, chamber groups, and doing solo work. We provide experiences in Concert Band (5-12), Pep Band (8-12), Marching Band (8-12), Jazz Band (8-12), Choir (7-12), and Show Choir (8-12) in order to cultivate well-educated and well-rounded student musicians. The Upper Scioto Valley Music Department equips students for their future through instruction in the ideals of self-discipline, respect, perseverance, and kindness. These ideals have formed the Upper Scioto Valley Music Department into a fixture of the community, and we strive every day to fulfill these ideals and to provide an excellent education to student musicians.
