Elementary Spring Concert and Art Show

Upper Scioto Valley Elementary Music Department
Dear Families,
Our Spring Concert and Art Show are just around the corner! Our Kindergarten-6th Graders will be performing for you on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 PM in the USV Fieldhouse! They will sing, dance, and play instruments to celebrate the theme of “Friendship and Harmony”.
Additionally, we will have our K-8 Art Show that night. You will be able to see the beautiful artwork that your child has made in art class. This will be a wonderful evening!
All elementary students must attend and perform in this evening concert; this performance is REQUIRED and graded. The Spring Concert will last between 30-50 minutes. Students are strongly encouraged to wear nice clothing (dress shirt, dress pants, dress, skirt, blouse, etc.) to this event. All students need to be in the USV fieldhouse by 6:10 PM that evening. Doors will open at 6 PM.
If your child cannot attend for an excused reason (family event, medical issue, emergency, etc.), you must give me a note, send me an email, or leave a phone call.
We are also looking for (peanut-free) bake sale donations for the concert. All proceeds for this bake sale will help the Music Department purchase new rhythm sticks for the elementary students to use and enjoy in music class (as many of our old sticks are splinter-inducing). If you are interested in donating baked goods (peanut-free), please drop them off in the school office at the Performing Arts Booster donation box the day before or the day of the concert. If we do not receive any donations, we will not have a bake sale at this concert.
If you have any comments, concerns, or questions, please contact meWe look forward to sharing music and art with our USV community at this fun-filled event!
I will see you on Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 PM!
