RE-opening Guidelines
2021/2022

Updated 9/14/2021 (Changes highlighted)

Upper Scioto Valley Schools will open school for the 2021/2022 school year as normally as possible.  We will have the following guidelines that will be followed.

  • Masks will be optional for all staff, students, and visitors.  This is a personal choice.
  • We ask students and staff to continue monitoring their health for signs/symptoms of Covid.
  • Students and staff that test positive will be quarantined for 10 days from the test date
  • Students and staff that live in a household with someone that has tested positive, should remain home for 10 days from the test date.  After day 5 of quarantine and with a negative test, students and staff could return to school.
  • USV will communicate positive cases through the various forms of communication with families.
  • USV will continue to encourage social distancing when educationally feasible to do so.
  • USV will continue many of the sanitation procedures put in place last year.
  • USV will continue to upgrade and improve the indoor air quality in all buildings on our campus.
  • USV students are encouraged to bring a water bottle to school and limit use of water fountains.

Please understand that USV cannot control any state or national mandates that may develop concerning Covid-19. Nor, as a public entity, can we openly violate any mandates that may arise. We will continue to work with the Hardin County Health Department as needed.  We appreciate your continued support of Upper Scioto Valley Schools and we look forward to a successful 2021-22 school year!

Thanks,
