3 Hour Delay Information
Parents and Families,

Upper Scioto Valley will start using a Three Hour Delay this school year when necessary due to inclement weather (mainly for fog).  Three Hour Delays have been used in the past and at that time the day was extended by 1 hour.  This will not be the case any longer as school will dismiss at normal time while we are on a Three Hour Delay.

In the event of a Three Hour Delay, school will begin at 10:50 for high/middle school students and 10:55 for elementary students.  There will be no extended day, so school’s dismissal time will remain 3:10 for high/middle school students and 3:05 for the elementary students.

All school delays and closings will be announced via our One Call notification system, TEC texting, on our school website and on local TV and radio stations.  Families who sign up for text alerts are typically the first to hear about delays and cancellations.  You can sign up through the school website under families drop down by clicking on closings and delays.

I hope your school year is off to a great start and, as always, Go RAMS!

Thanks,

Craig M. Hurley
