The Upper Scioto Valley Local School District has an anticipated Maintenance opening for the 2021-2022 school year, 220 days, eight hours per day. Qualified and interested persons should apply in writing to the Office of the Superintendent by the close of business on June 11, 2021.  

 

1. Complete an Upper Scioto Valley employment application.
2. The transportation department will run a comprehensive Bureau of Motor Vehicles check using a copy of the candidate’s drivers’ license and social security number. The following offenses are disqualifying:
1. OVI or DUI within the past 10 years.
2. FRA suspension in the past 6 years.
3. Driver obtains a Federal and State background check.
4. Driver completes a pre-employment physical with drug and alcohol testing.
5. Driver attends the Ohio School Bus Driver Pre-service training held in Lima or Findlay, which consists of 16 hours of training, 4 hours per day. Classes are offered at different times throughout the year.
6. Driver obtains a temporary Class B CDL from BMV.
7. Driver completes a minimum of 12 hours of training with an on-board instructor.
8. Driver secures Class B CDL with School Bus/ Passenger Bus Endorsement from the BMV.
